Ajapa japa is a technique of yoga that can bring an individual from awareness of the more basic level of the body to the more elevated stages of meditation using the movement of breath throught the frontal and spinal psychic passages.

Born in 1951, in 1979 he met his Guru and Spiritual Master, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, and in 1980 he was initiated into the Sannyasa tradition.

Yogacharya of the Yoga School, since 1980 teaches on the advice of his guru the advanced techniques of Yoga such as Kriya Yoga, Tattwa Shuddhi, Nada Yoga, mantras and other meditation techniques of the SATYANANDA YOGA® tradition.

In 1982 he founded the Satyananda Ashram Italia Yoga School and the following year the Publishing House of the “Edizioni Satyananda Ashram Italia”.

He has held reports and workshops in international conferences organized by the IYFM in Europe, India, Australia and Colombia.

He conducts training and refresher courses for Yoga teachers, in-depth seminars and conferences on different aspects and branches of Yoga.

Since 2003 he has been conducting courses and seminars in the ashram in Rikhia, India, for yoga aspirants and students from Italy.

Each year he spends a few months in India at the Bihar Yoga Bharati (University of Advanced Yoga Studies) and collaborates in the implementation of the initiatives of Shivananda Math, Rikhia, Jharkand, India, a charitable institution founded by Paramahansa Satyananda.

Publishing House


The Publishing House Satyananda Ashram Italia, founded in 1982, publishes, books, compact disc, DVDs and digital downloadaudio tapes on yoga in Italy.

The authors of the texts are Swami Paramahansa Satyananda, who is worldly recognised as one of the major authorities of yoga and tantra, and his successor Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, founder of Bihar Yoga Bharati, the first yoga University in the world, an institution that imparts education in yogic studies and is recognised by the Indian Governament.

Our books are suitable for practitioners, researchers and yoga teachers and are utilised as study texts.

Besides, Edizioni Satyananda Ashram Italia Editions proposes techniques of meditation, relaxation and lectures through compact disc, DVDs and digital download.
